Tanay is the CEO of FreeCap Financial, Inc., an innovative data company that delivers socially responsible investing criteria to investors. She has raised over $1M in non-dilutive funding to incubate social ventures, in part through prestigious fellowships, including Echoing Green, Fulbright, Halcyon Incubator, and Roddenberry Foundation. In 2024 Tanay received a 40 under 40 award from Black Women in Asset Management for her leadership at FreeCap. A foodie, NBA fan, and lover of hip-hop, Tanay is a proud alum of Vassar College and the Fletcher School at Tufts University. She lives with her adorable kiddo and spouse in Washington, DC.
